Aussie Curves: Body Con

This weeks Aussie Curves challenge is body con. I was really excited about this because I'm all about a VBL but I looked in my wardrobe and realised that after selling most of the things I'd owned because they either didn't fit anymore/I needed money to fund things for my wedding, I had no body con things left. All I have is fit & flare dresses (which I still love) and no body con! ughhhhh!
But then I remembered, my cousins wedding!

I don't have many photos from the day but I was sure to get Sam to snap a couple of outfit photos for me. I can't wait tip they get their photos and video from the day!

It was a beautiful day for a beautiful couple. Just look at them! I cried during the whole ceremony because I'm such a sap haha

Some ducks crashed the ceremony. The cutest little wedding crashers you could ever want.

So the thing about wog weddings is that you have a party before the party which means 2 outfits!
In the morning all the bride or grooms family go to the bride or grooms house and have a big brunch feast with all kinds of meats and potatoes and general woggy foods and lots of drinks all around and when its time to go to church (or the ceremony, however you wanna do it) we all shuttle off, they get married and then its another party at the reception.
Aaaaand this was my first outfit for the morning.
I'll need to bust these dresses out more often. They're so fab!

Pre School

You ever get that feeling that you look like some sort of character after you've chosen your outfit for the day? I do. Most of the time.
Todays character, Pre School teacher!

Something about the primary colours and the shapes in the dress just give me good vibes.
Im just kind of bummed that I didn't have a matching petticoat to make the skirt pop even more.

I found this bag at the Salvos and almost died. It was that cute Miu Miu cat print thats been replicated over and over on this teeny tiny bag and I just had to have it! When I opened it up to see just how much I could fit in there, I noticed the ASOS tag on the inside.. SCORE!

I need more vintage dresses like this! I pretty much strictly buy vintage dresses from eBay and thrift stores, not 'vintage stores' (because they're far too expensive for me), so its pretty limiting because I not only want certain styles of dresses, but they also need to be in size fat too.

Where are your fave places to find vintage dresses?

Aussie Curves - Pattern Clash

I've been fairly absent from blogging recently and its not because I have nothing to blog about, its just that I've been so busy! Its become a case of so many outfit photos, so little time! haha
I wanted to try and get in on this weeks Aussie Curves challenge before it was too late.

This weeks challenge… Pattern Clash! I pattern clash very often with my outfits. It seems to be the thing that comes most naturally for me. What print should I wear? All of them! At once!
I can't wait to be one of those mega cool stylish old ladies that wear a mismatched jumble of patterns and colours and still look hella cool.

I recently became obsessed with layering tights (tights, stockings, pantyhose, whatever) and this combo is my fave! It's been hard trying to find fun and fancy tights to layer because I'm chunkier than the gals they're made for, but lace style ones are often a lot more 'giving'. if the waistband doesn't fit, just cut it off because the rest of the tights will so why not keep a good thing! The 'base coat' of the tights, I like to keep as a single colour and my absolute faves are the Forever 21 plus size neon coloured tights. When I was in the US I picked up a few pairs but I'm so upset that I didn't just buy them all! I'm working on picking up more slowly though.

This weeks pattern clash isn't the most in your face (well, to me it isn't, but my mum said otherwise), but I just love this whole outfit so much! And I can't get enough of this dress. its just perfect!

I luv Chip Chop

So I don't know if you guys know, but my whole family is obsessed with France. My mum should've been born a Parisian woman. She named my sister Paris. We all went on a family trip to France a few years back and as any asshole older sister would do, I made endless jokes about her name the whole trip. I'm a jerk, w/e haha

A few weeks back my fave store to wander through in Melbourne, Lenko, closed down and had an amazing closing down sale where I nabbed this perfect shirt I had been eyeing for what seems like forever!
Its by Chip Chop and their shirts are usually around the $70-80 mark which I just can't afford right now but I nabbed this for about $27 and there was another slogan shirt that made me just die and it was the same price so I just had to have it too (outfit post coming up for that one).

I was playing with my make up and I've become obsessed with this combo of pink lipstick and 'natural look' fake lashes. Ugh I love it so much!

And the purpose of this outfit? Family BBQ! haha
