I luv Chip Chop

So I don't know if you guys know, but my whole family is obsessed with France. My mum should've been born a Parisian woman. She named my sister Paris. We all went on a family trip to France a few years back and as any asshole older sister would do, I made endless jokes about her name the whole trip. I'm a jerk, w/e haha

A few weeks back my fave store to wander through in Melbourne, Lenko, closed down and had an amazing closing down sale where I nabbed this perfect shirt I had been eyeing for what seems like forever!
Its by Chip Chop and their shirts are usually around the $70-80 mark which I just can't afford right now but I nabbed this for about $27 and there was another slogan shirt that made me just die and it was the same price so I just had to have it too (outfit post coming up for that one).

I was playing with my make up and I've become obsessed with this combo of pink lipstick and 'natural look' fake lashes. Ugh I love it so much!

And the purpose of this outfit? Family BBQ! haha

Neon Summer

After my blogging hiatus I have this ridiculous backlog of outfit posts! Whenever Sam and I go places and I look particularly adorable, I make sure he takes some photos of me and with each outfit photo sesh he keeps getting better at it! It just annoying because I only use my phone to take photos and I haven't touched my actual camera since we went to America and even then I hated using it and preferred my phone. I just like the convenience of it but at the same time, the photo quality isn't the best, but that being said, my outfits always look better when the photo was taken on my phone (is that weird? somehow the actual camera doesn't have the same affect. Or maybe its just me being a fusspot, I dunno).

But anywhoo! This outfit is brought to you from one of the last nice days of summer in Melbourne. It was a lovely warm day and Sam and I just wanted to get out of the house and do something. We only went shopping but still!
It's heading into the cooler months now but it's still not quite cold yet so reminiscing about nice warm days is a bit premature but I'd give anything for it to be lovely and sunny outside right now.

Moving house and forever in a mess

So, hi guys!
I haven't blogged in quite a long time because life has been ridiculous lately. If you follow me on instagram, you'd know that I'm getting married and its creeping up on me super fast! The wedding has pretty much consumed my life and not a day has gone by where I haven't thought about the wedding and it's even overtaking my dreams! But not only has the wedding been keeping me busy but we just recently moved house too haha

Moving house put a bit of a strain on me because for a little while we were living off whatever clothes we could keep on one hanging rack and I just couldn't deal. A friend of mine gave me some clothes she didn't wear anymore and amongst the stuff were some jeggings. Now I used to be a jeans girl back in my teens but as soon as I turned 19 they seemed to be eliminated from my wardrobe. I can just never find the right fitting pair no matter how hard I try and you'd think it would have been easier when I was a lighter weight but it sucked just as much. I thought I'd give these jeggings a whirl because I just needed to find easy pants to move house in and omg you guys. I'm obsessed!

They're the best thing I (n)ever bought! The tag says 'XRDS' so I'm guessing they're by Crossroads and I think they're super old so I don't know if I would even be able to find them again because I know I'll be tearing a hole through the thighs from frequent wear and chub-rub so now I'm on a hunt for them or something just as good.

If you gals had any suggestions on where to find some jeggings like them, or if you have a fave pair let me know!!

Aussie Curves - Retro

If there is one thing I'm good at, it's looking 'retro' or 'vintage'. I could've gone one of a few ways about this weeks challenge but I had worn this outfit a few weeks back when it was super cold purely for this weeks challenge (look at me pre planning these things haha), so I had to take the 'rockabilly/retro' path rather than my newfound love for 60's/70's psychedelic outfits.

I'm not one to follow any kind of fashion rules, and I especially don't follow the rules of what fat girls should and shouldn't wear because I like to be a chameleon with my clothes and I guess I like to play a character with each outfit I put on. My partner thinks I just cant make up my mind when it comes to which style I want to make my own but all I can think is why do I have to just have ONE style. It may work for some people but my feelings towards fashion is so erratic, I cant stick to just one because I'm obsessed with them all!

What I said about not following fashion rules, I stand by that BUT that being said, there should be one legit rule made for short women and it should be "At any chance you can get, wear a short skirt". I think short skirts make everyones image of themselves a lot cuter especially when you're a short woman like I am because it makes my legs feel heeeeaaaapppps longer! I'm 5'3 and my partner is 6'7 so I will forever look short standing next to him but at least when I'm wearing a short skirt I feel taller. That may sound really dumb, but whatever, it makes sense.

Isn't this bag the coolest thing?! It just reminds me of Japan and the 90s and I needed it in my life ASAP. It only fits the necessities but what it lacks in room, it makes up for in cute and kitschyness.

I hope you cats enjoyed the post and I cant wait for next weeks challenge!

Aussie Curves - Stripes

I'm not gunna lie, I've been saving this post for a few weeks for this challenge. What began as a simple spring outfit turned into a technicolour party!

I've been feeling very flat lately with my outfits. Just very boring and not what I used to be. I was looking at old photos and just reminiscing but not really doing anything about changing myself back to the old me with all my outgoing and carefully structured outfits. When I was getting ready I put this dress on and I was just going to wear it with leggings and a black cardigan and that would've been that. But then I thought back to when I bought the dress. We were in Italy and it was a hot day and I only had winter clothes and nothing summery fit me so I had to hunt for something in my size that was cheap and not shit looking (Just like I have to hunt here, but faster because I didn't want bad outfits in my holiday photos haha). I found this dress and wore it just with a furo green bracelet and sandals. So when I put it on again now I thought, 'Where did all my cute go?...'. I started with the tights and then it all just snowballed. I felt so cute once I was done. I haven't felt that cute and so 'like myself' in a long time.

I had no reason to go out so I just took myself out on a date to Savers where I found the most amazing vintage dresses. Its not often I find more than 1 great vintage dress in the one place but I found 4! 4 plus size vintage brightly coloured dresses! Im pretty sure you can just imagine how excited I was haha

To end the day I sat in the park in the city and ate sushi and read my book. It was so peaceful and I just felt like i was back to normal again.

Bright days

I try to not wear sunglasses in photos because the photo ends up creeping me out a bit because you cant see my eyes but I just couldn't see at all because it was so bright!

Dress: ASOS
Leggings: Big W
Shoes: Lipstik

We had a very lazy day and just faffed around for the day and took Fonzie for a walk and a bath. We usually get a dog groomer to neaten his hair up but it was costing more than all our haircuts! When we took him to the dog wash station at our local car wash we were all kind of nervous because we had no idea how it worked. We got set up and Fonzie got washed but we all basically did anyway haha There was water everywhereeeeee!

We dried him off and walked back home and picked some flowers. Fonz needed one in his hair because he's my little princess :)

When we got home we were all super lazy and napped the day away.

Uni Open Day

So Sam and I went to a Uni Open day a few weeks back and this is what I wore. I've been trying to figure out what I want to do with my life and I still have no idea. Right now all I want to do is have a baby and be a mum. Is that bad? I don't have any career goals aside from wanting to raise my children. I feel so ready and clucky. I may sound like a bit of a git, but whatever. I can't wait to be a mum.
